‘Request’ to Elon Musk to buy Sri Lanka

Elon Musk, the richest person in world has been ‘requested’ to buy Sri Lanka, in stead of buying Twitter. Sri Lanka, an Island country in South Asia has been almost paralyzed by the economic downturn. Netizens are giving such ‘suggestions’ on online social networks. Some ridicules, whereas some others criticize. That being said, if Musk wants, he can repay all the debts of Sri Lanka all by himself. It may be the biggest charity of his life. That would be far better a decision than buying all the shares of Twitter. Aiming at Elon Musk, India's top e-commerce Snapdeal CEO Kunal Bahl tweeted that “Elon Musk wants to buy Twitter for $43 billion. Sri Lanka's debt is $45 billion. He can buy the country and call himself 'Ceylon Mask'” (Ceylon is Sri Lanka's forename). https://twitter.com/1kunalbahl/status/1514637212112982016?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1514637212112982016%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fdigibanglatech.news%2Fsocial%2F73884%2F Returning to Elon Musk to buy Sri Lanka instead of buying Twitter, Masood Zahid, a Colombo resident, wrote, 'Can you buy Sri Lanka instead (Twitter)? We could do with $43 billion right about now.' https://twitter.com/masudzaheed/status/1514569639614898177?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1514569639614898177%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fdigibanglatech.news%2Fsocial%2F73884%2F However, some people are not happy at all in such a situation. According to them, the fact that only one person has the power to repay all the debts of a country is a proof of wealth accumulation and it is not good at all. According to Sanjay, a Twitter user twitted, Elon Musk has offered $43 billion to buy Twitter. And Sri Lanka is struggling to pay off its $45 billion debt. There are basically some problems in this world. https://twitter.com/sanjaymcwan/status/1514629979140550657?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1514629979140550657%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fdigibanglatech.news%2Fsocial%2F73884%2F Earlier on Thursday (April 14), news agency Reuters reported that Elon Musk had agreed to spend $41 billion to buy Twitter. Of course, other media have mentioned $43billion. Musk has offered to buy every share of Twitter at $54.20, which is at least 38% higher than the social media giant's share price on April 1. Sri Lanka, a South Asian country, has been suffering from the worst financial crisis since independence in 1948. There is only wailing around the country now. The situation is so crucial that they are not able to meet the import cost of daily necessities. As a result, the price of goods has skyrocketed. In the last two years, Sri Lanka's foreign exchange reserves have fallen by almost two-thirds. This year, they have about $4 billion in foreign debt installments, including $1 billion in international sovereign bond installments in July. But due to lack of funds, the country has suspended all foreign debt repayments.
